SOStainability Partners GLOBE Legislators

SOStainability, UK-based global enterprise on sustainability and responsible climate action, has partnered with GLOBE Legislators, the UNFCCC Focal Point for the Parliamentary Group, to convene the inaugural Nigeria Climate Investment Summit (NCIS).The Summit is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at Mansion House, London, during the London Climate Action Week (LCAW).NCIS is designed as a high-level global platform to connect Nigeria’s climate policy progresswith international capital, catalyze strategic partnerships, and facilitate knowledge exchange on sustainable investment opportunities, especially in emerging markets. The Summit will convene senior Nigerian government officials, including Members of Parliament, Ministers, regulators, and subnational leaders, international finance institutions, institutional investors, climate advocates, and members of the global business community to explore practical pathways for financing Nigeria’s energy transition and energy access. A statement byMalini Mehra, CEO of GLOBE Legislators, and Oke Epia, CEO of SOStainability, said the partnership on NCIS is inrecognition of the urgent need to advance energy access, including renewables, to unreached and underserved communities across many countries.  With the theme, ‘Catalyzing Nigeria’s Climate Policy Progress into Financial Flows for Green Projects,’ NCIS has continued to attract very consequential partnerships and institutional support, including from the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All (SEforAll), the Commonwealth Secretariat, the City of London, and the Worshipful Company of Fuellers, a livery company representing the energy industry with membership spanning electricity generation, renewables, oil, and gas supply chains.   The Summit comes at a critical moment for Nigeria’s climate and economic transformation agenda following major policy developments, including the Climate Change Act, the establishment of the National Council on Climate Change, the Electricity Act 2023, and the country’s expanding focus on renewable energy, carbon markets, and sustainable finance.
