Stakeholder and Community Engagement
SOStainability Rallied Stakeholders on Sustainability in Staffordshire
To mark the occasion of World Environment Day, SOStainability hosted a forum to engage stakeholders from the business, government, non-profit, and academic communities in reflecting on Staffordshire’s sustainability journey as a place.  Â
Held under the auspices of SPARC Staffordshire, the event provided an opportunity to share perspectives on the climate commitments of Staffordshire, including achievements and challenges recorded. After presentations and deliberations, stakeholders also expressed commitment to enhancing their sustainability ambitions, targets, and implementation.Â
The event, which held on June 26, 2025, at the Innovation Centre of Keele University, attracted participants across sectors in the county. Â
Speakers were Emma Baines, Regional Hub Manager (West Midlands) of the Climate Ambassadors Scheme, JAS Bahra of AMW Renewables, and Oke Epia, Director of SOStainability.   Â
Participants were taken on a tour of the Horwood Energy Centre at Keele to gain inspiration from the sustainability success stories of the university.   Â
